Google Images Search has a nice feature by which one can search images showing only faces.

How to use google images face search.....?

Well it is a simple trick... all you need to do is type "&imgtype=face" at the end of the address.

Example

If you are searching for Sachin Tendulkar images in Google Image Search.

You will get the search link as "http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sachin+tendulkar&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2" in the address bar

Now, just add this code "&imgtype=face" at the end of that address... like this...

"http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sachin+tendulkar&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2&imgtype=face"

you will be redirected to a page containing only images of faces......

Increasing Graphics Performance in Windows

Windows by default turns on a lot of shadows, fades, slides etc to menu items.

Most simply slow down their display.

To turn these Off Selectively -

Step 1 : Right click on the My Computer icon, Select Properties & Click on the Advanced tab.

Step 2 : Under Performance, click on the Settings button.

Step 3 : Select Adjust for Best performance.

Step 4 : My preference is to leave them all off, except for "Show shadows under mouse pointer and Show window contents while dragging".

Restart your PC..

Speeding Shut-Down Operation for Windows OS

By Clearing the Page File on Shutdown....

Step 1 : Click on the Start button & go to the Control Panel.

Step 2 : Open Administrative Tools & Select Local Security Policy.

Step 3 : In the tab select Local Policies & Click on Security Options.

Step 4 : In Right side menu - Right click on "Shutdown: Clear Virtual Memory Pagefile"

Step 5 : Select "Enable" & Reboot your PC.

Decreasing Windows OS Boot Time....

Micro$oft has made available a program to analyze and decrease the time that takes to boot  WindowsXP

The program is called BootVis

Step 1 : Extract(Decompress) the file using Winrar.

Step 2 : Run BOOTVIS.EXE

Step 3 : For a starting point, Run  Trace / Next Boot + Driver Delays

This will reboot your computer and provide a benchmark. After the reboot, BootVis will take a minute or two to show graphs of your System Startup.

Note how much time it took for your system to load....

Step 4 : Click on the Red Vertical Line

Step 5 : Then Run Trace / Optimize System

Step 6 : Re-Run the Next Boot + Drive Delays

Now check, how much time it is decreased.....

Mine went from approximately 45 seconds.
