Decreasing Windows OS Boot Time....

Micro$oft has made available a program to analyze and decrease the time that takes to boot  WindowsXP

The program is called BootVis

Step 1 : Extract(Decompress) the file using Winrar.

Step 2 : Run BOOTVIS.EXE

Step 3 : For a starting point, Run  Trace / Next Boot + Driver Delays

This will reboot your computer and provide a benchmark. After the reboot, BootVis will take a minute or two to show graphs of your System Startup.

Note how much time it took for your system to load....

Step 4 : Click on the Red Vertical Line

Step 5 : Then Run Trace / Optimize System

Step 6 : Re-Run the Next Boot + Drive Delays

Now check, how much time it is decreased.....

Mine went from approximately 45 seconds.
